Mazda familia 4WD "converted to 2wd on front wheels, from reading these threads I understood all wheel drives were a power sharing set up & doing the 2wd conversion would wreck the fronttrans,, thoughts on this

wouldn't the FWD last better as more chance of wheel spin, limiting the strain on the gearbox! That is provided they put a G series gearbox in for the FWD, and not the weaker F series

Laughable cars those. Tacky, slow and handle no way near as well as any GT-X driver will tell you.

What a waste of time, the extra power you will have from only being 2 wheel drive is completely out weighed by the loss of traction and torque steer it will now have. I used to own a fwd 323 wagon with the 1600 turbo conversion and they are a nightmare to drive.

saw a woman fail a WOF because her car had that done & she hadnt realised it, apparently went through WOFs previously no worries but the tester knew his stuff & reckoned it required a cert. she was not amused lol
