LED Lenser are hands down the best torches avaliable, however I'm not sure what they have in your price range.

nah x2000 from deal extreme. 15 bucks nz landed here. way better torch than the lenser, much brighter.

far better than LED Lensers, these are water proof, better build quality, often brighter and far better value for money. I have both and really, in comparison to a fenix, the LED lenser feels average.

The Fenix T1 (old model now) can withstand 9.8 Tonnes in a press before it fails! Now thats a well built torch.

Many Fenix run on rechargable Li-ion batteries which offer better performance but aren't as 'off-the-shelf' as the normal AAA that LED lenser run on.

Otherwise get down to repco or bunnings and pay heaps more for heaps less
