Thats a HUGE carb (being a double pumper) for a 308.unless its a pretty serious motor! youd be better off putting a 525 or 500 on,better response and fuel economy.Just a thought.we see over carbing on cars all the time

The car is a real SLR Torana putting out justover 400 HP.Strengthened M21 & 9 inch from stealy gears.

You must mean steely gears, I didn't think they were that expensive.

if it is 400 hp then that 650 will be fine, fit a regulator (not the holley brand) & set to 7 psi & it should be all good. what electric pump are you using!

Holley regulators are fine, its the procomp one's to which out for.Good luck with the M21 with 400HP

Was thinking the same thing myself.

if you ever pull a Holley regulator apart you'll quickly see it's a poorly made item from a rough as guts casting. compare with a Mallory which is similar money & you'll notice a much higher quality of build & also notice the Mallory will out flow/perform a Holley anyday. if you look at serious racers in motorsport, it's not likely you'll see many Holley regs.

Ive had my holley regulator for over 20 years now and still going strong.Holley has Billet Fuel Pressure Regulators which serious racers would use.
