GPS Jammer $150.google it.

I'd bet money if it had had a tracker, it would have been back within an hour of going missing. And if the tracker is well hidden they wont find it, and they wont keep a jammer going around it 24/7

Tracker didnt work on the Commodore (GTS!) nicked in Chch a while ago (broke into alarmed workshop etc), gps worked till it was towed around the block - then gone.

Exactly. The shell of the (genuine) Brock VK blue meanie was found though, stripped (very odd that one.very odd indeed.) Or odd like the 4 (some of the 4 were new) HSV's stolen a month or three back from local Holden dealer. Mind you the missing two or three were found this week, in a lockup not far from the dealer.big bust apparently.

if the gps tracker was installed like the way i've seen 90% of the car alarms been installed, it would have been located within 2mins and bypassed. most installers are just shove it by the steering column without much thought or planning.

and how many car thieves do you know carry a gps jammer. considering such a large number of car owner don't even go past the extent of having a decent car alarm installed, the thought employing a gps tracker would never exit in their head.

+1 Usually, they cut off only one hand (so that you don't steal) and one foot (so if you do steal, you won't be able to run away).

Better still .both. and put mercury switches plus whatever.on the door handles to blow their friggen fingers off. Absolutly brilliant to hear it's been found, I hope the scroat gets a thorough degree of retribution and a good old fashoned seeing to, damn well deserves it and more. High speed lead is the cheapest form of justice.

Not exactly the Big City is it, so yes, name and shame - the address might well be a help too as a warning for other locals.
I see Henderson's police are now targetting known previous offenders and have had some good results.

Just read that this vehicle has been found in a garage in Whangarei. Appears to be undamaged according to todays Northern Advocate. One arrest so far. No doubt be a party tonight. Great news.
