jkm, Aug 28, 5:28am
Serious. money pit!

guider1, Aug 28, 5:35am
Can you imagine the extent of the repair cert that will need to be done for this to be road legal again! lol.

Hey bent. bet you get a warning for starting this thread too; I got one the other day for the same thing.
Seems things must be a bit niggly in the Fairfax corner with their 1/2 billion dollar loss. Hahahahahahahahahaha

bopbargains, Aug 28, 6:26am
but you do getsome very nice chrome mirrors and few little parts

mantagsi, Aug 28, 8:24am
It makes you wonder what he paid for it in the first place.

dr.doolittle, Aug 28, 8:35am
I've seen this add before, as I'm sure some others have too. The guy gets all agro at the slightest suggestion that it ain't worth squat.
Any warnings from TM will probably originate from his bitching to TM about people questioning it's value or even as a result of this thread, when he sees it.

"This is a real Cuda not a barracuda."
Might as well be a MK2 escort.

loonee-dial-111, Aug 28, 8:39am
"Just a note another guy i have come across that has bought a $30,000.00 car state side never got the car guy took off with his money [.] should have bought the cuda and built it up" no that wouldn't persuade me!

cuda.340, Aug 28, 8:44am
i completed 'cuda is worth moonbeams & each yeaer it's worth more. for 5k thats a great start. my 'cuda i bought for 18k is now worth 90k usd so honestly, that car is most likely worth every penny.

guider1, Aug 28, 10:20am
Buy it then cuda if it's so valuable. lol. Personally, I wouldnt pay more than $1000 for it because you're going to spend $50-60k to get it to a condition where it is a nice tidy car that has a value again.
Buy it & cut it up for a racecar.
It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. One of my Commodores is 1 of only 50 made, a very rare car & owes me over $100k, yet I would be wasting my time asking $50k for it simply because unless someone is looking for that model it is only worth what Joe Blogs is willing to pay. That's why there are many cars sitting in sheds with no one to buy them. market value vs reality if you want to sell.

dr.doolittle, Aug 28, 12:13pm
Firstly. it's not $5k, thats the start price. (If it's so cheap why havent you, or anyone else bought it!).
By the time it's finished almost nothing will be original, all the running gear will be from something else. Matching numbers!
I bet you got a lot more than this guy is offering for your $18k.
I dont even know why I'm posting, this is rubbish.

Couldnt have hit the nail better on the head +1

cuda.340, Aug 28, 5:46pm
well if you look at it from this perspective, you buy this car, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-cuda-project-car-/320749828868!pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4aae2dfb04
as well as the shell. swap the tags over since the shell is a 'cuda & the runner is a stock barracuda, swap block & you've just upped the price of the barracuda by 15-20k & it's now a 'cuda. swap the rear spring mount bracket in so no one can tell the difference & it'smoney well spent.

dr.doolittle, Aug 28, 6:09pm
And after that you'd better hope like hell that the guy who pays TOP DOLLER for it doesn't find that out & have gang connections or asuicidal mean streak.

trogedon, Oct 6, 3:42am
"swap block" there is no block with the shell.
