I think the reference to 'dodgy" is that the bike started at a low reserve - $500 and when sold was then offered for only a few hundred more. happens very regularly with low reserve auctions.

I know of the offer cos Im smarter than you. The offer came from the seller. Less than 12 hours after the auction closed and in the middle of the night.

Ahhh. sorry, I forgot that if you weren't "watching" the auction you won't see the fixed offer.As Gusthe1 says, the auction was $500 reserve, and it sold for $2400-odd.The fixed offer came very soon after the auction closed.So, was the top bid a shill bid, or did the seller refuse to sell at that price (that has happened to me in the past).One way or the other, it's dodgy.
