I know this is an old thread and the OP would have by now sorted it, but I couldnt believe someone saying they are like hens teeth, it is still a popular size and I sell them on a very regular basis.

Yep well sorted. I agree, it was definitely somebody who assumes only what they have on their own shelf is 'normal'.

Anyone know if this is likely to be something available locally! I asked a brake/clutch guy yesterday and he seemed to think imperial brake fittings would be hens teeth (and wasn't offering to help). I can get it ex-UK but surely there must be something local.

Try BNT, i had good success with getting stuff for my morry through them. Lynn at the invercargill branch knows the stock numbers off the top of her head almost so it might pay to ring her. I dont know how good the staff at other branches is

I suggested invers for the knowledge lynn has. The parts could be sourced by any BNT branch but the problem usually is getting someone who knows what they are talking about

Smac-why not just try an old school wrecker

skin1235 - it's definitely UNF. The situation is fitting into the end of the flexi brake hose.
kaz-home - problem is I am not aware of anything that has this bolt as standard fitment. I am looking to replace a pig-ugly fluid pressure brake light switch with a plain banjo bolt (pedal switch now fitted). It'll be lower profile plus allow more clearance around a fiddly part of the engine bay.
have you a good machinist near-by,they should be able to make one,no-sweat
