Haha, maybe that 1 should have been a 2 or even 3, really make it worth your while.

flashgordon_nz, Sep 1, 4:58pm
it cause ya know ya way around a hilux with a spray gun aye!

datoofairy, Sep 1, 5:02pm
N's can be confusing for some people, they look so much like an M. And if you say the word 'no' too quickly all people here is O.
So really, it doesnt matter if you write it or say it, No can be a confusing and hard to grasp concept for some.

attitudedesignz, Sep 1, 5:06pm
Apparently haha.

quater, Sep 1, 5:06pm
Oh yeah, I was gonna get you to do a car for me. Oh well its a 4x4 now. got much on!

friendly_prawn, Sep 1, 5:07pm
maybe it proves a point.
You werent charging enough before!

quater, Sep 1, 5:09pm
Its amazing how you start to love your job when you earn 3 times as much

attitudedesignz, Sep 1, 5:15pm
3! This one's 10 more than the last big one haha.

quater, Sep 1, 5:31pm
Just think if you got 10k for all the other under priced jobs, sorry bit of a downer.

attitudedesignz, Sep 1, 5:34pm
True, but this one is oh so sweet because of the fact i "used to" under-charge.

gammelvind, Sep 1, 5:57pm
Have to agree with this, there are many clever and talented people out there who are undervaluing their abilities. I watch too many panel and painters negotiating better product prices and then charging lesser prices to their customers, most of whom seldom show any form of appreciation of their efforts. Generaly because they have no clue of P&P costs in 2012.
My suggestion where you would normally quote eg $500 for a job, quote $600 and give a 10% discount for prompt payment.

flashgordon_nz, Sep 1, 6:22pm
lol. but ya not keen to take on another yank tank!

kazbanz, Sep 1, 6:38pm
Hey AD --cynical sod here. Um is this a member of the "empowered" backward hat brigade!

bigfatmat1, Sep 1, 7:44pm
not being rude but hey you should ask yourself that question as you said no more and now you are doing more what part of 'no' did you fail to understand was it the no part!

attitudedesignz, Sep 1, 7:59pm
Yeah, the irony hadn't escaped me.

trogedon, Sep 1, 8:01pm
"the lower I go the more he likes it".
It seems the higher you've gone the more you like it.
Think of what you can buy / pay off with the loot. When I used to teach in certain South Auckland schools I got so desperate at times I'd be thinking about how much money (never much) I'd be making for every 15 mins I survived there.

attitudedesignz, Sep 1, 8:04pm
That's a clue to the gender of the owner. Maybe i shouldn't do jobs for males anymore, seems females know that if you want quality you pay a premium.

74nova, Sep 2, 3:44am
I showed the pic to my missis who works for a panel beater and asked what they'd charged and she said $10k straight away with out thinking about it.

whqqsh, Sep 2, 4:07am
I think youll have a happier customer too because, for some strange reason, the cheaper the job the more picky the dude becomes.
Ive got a mate that does pretty good paint jobs for a good price & the amount of idiots he gets around with the 'oh, can you just do this & this while youre at it', then they just happen to 'pop around' a few days later with 'oh I was wondering if you could just.'

marblicious, Sep 2, 4:41am
Don't tell us. Are you going to paint it green!

bmwnz, Sep 2, 5:49am
Yes, do tell. What colour will it be to cover that dreadful red!

gammelvind, Sep 2, 5:58am
Pale blue with a gold pearl maybe! Seems to be taking over from green lol.

friendly_prawn, Sep 2, 6:31am
For some reason the one colour I cant stand is bright red. Even if its a car I really really like and at a very good price, if its bright red, I walk away.
Am I weird! lol

gammelvind, Sep 2, 6:48am
Yup!

friendly_prawn, Sep 2, 6:56am
awww cheers guys. You're so kind lol
