Servicing for Holdens

Am about to book with AA for a service.but have been thinking.at $129 are they actually doing anything of note when they service!

I remember my mate getting his car serviced at Davie Motors and it cost more than double but he said they do all sorts of tuning etc on the computer.so I am thinking maybe that is what I need.

Do anyone Holden owners recommend a good place to get a Commodore serviced!

Ask them what they do for their $130 - if you have the owner's manual, you should be able to see what they should be doing.

I always took mine to a dealer, but it was under warranty at the time. Plus, when I sold it, I wanted to be able to say all services were done at the dealers. I'd suspect the dealers probably do plug them into the diagnostic computer when they do the servicing though.

$129 would maybe cover just an oil and filter change. A full Davies service is remove the wheels, check discs and pads, check and top up any fluids, check filters, and wipers, lube door hinges etc etc etc, maybe check for fault codes.

and you are in west, south, east, north. personally for 130 all you are getting is a oil and filter and then the call."you also need."
