Him no work.

rob_man, Aug 25, 6:56am
Wicked, that's a pretty impressive bit of flying too. Looks like a great circuit, will there be sufficient support for it down there!

splinter67, Aug 25, 7:42am
Pity they are going to seal it and I bet they will take out the jump looks like it will be a great facility

flashgordon_nz, Aug 25, 11:41am
pretty certain thats the one that Quinn from VIP pet foods is involved in!

vpholdie, Aug 25, 7:15pm
is that the one on the way out of cromwell on the way to queenstown!

NZTools, Aug 25, 7:27pm
looks like it will be a blast to drive on, but the spectators wont see a lot.

tazcsv, Aug 28, 7:32am
There is to be an bridge put in where the gap is.

poppajn, Aug 28, 9:53am
As it,s not a public track, there won,t be any spectators.

tazcsv, Aug 28, 10:13am
Privately owned but will be hired out to clubs who want to use it so im sure there will be plenty of spectators at main events held.

splinter67, Aug 28, 10:16am
Thats a bit strange isn't Hampton downs privately owned Im sure there are spectators there or maybe Im only dreaming that I went there

splinter67, Aug 28, 10:17am
yup thought that too but would be better with a dukes of hazzard style jump that would sort the men from the boys

tazcsv, Aug 28, 10:20am
Hit it with pace, it should be all good.

tazcsv, Aug 28, 10:22am
From what i have read this track can handle F1 and V8 super cars ect so it will be interesting to see who will be using it in the future.

poppajn, Aug 28, 10:52am
Sorry what I meant was there will be no raceing such as F5000, V8,s. It has been built as a private motorsport facility that anyone can book and use. This from an article in Saturday 25/08/12 Southland Times.

NZTools, Aug 28, 10:54am
Why would anyone got to the expense of hiring a track of that calibre, if they wernt intending to attract paying spectators to recoup the cost!

tazcsv, Aug 28, 1:12pm
Im sure we will see some big race meets held there in the years to come. Why else would you build 48 garages on pit lane.

kazbanz, Aug 28, 1:20pm
mate you would be suprised how much money there actualy is floating around out there. A private track day is a lot more common than you realise.

poppajn, Aug 28, 3:34pm
There was a page article in saturdays sothland times, it was very interesting but sorry I don,t know how to put the link up here.

NZTools, Aug 28, 3:38pm
I'm well aware of how many private track days are held. ( I get invited to a few of them)

Still though, no-one in their right mind would build a track of that magantude to soley cater for private track days, unless they were trying to get rid of huge bundles of money.

gunhand, Aug 28, 3:56pm
Im sure I didnt see brake light at all!It all looked kinda odd.

earthlink_inc, Aug 29, 10:11am
Unless of course it offers a degree of secrecy to manufacturers wanting to conduct secrect testing - in the same fashion as the winter proving grounds down them ways.

Either way totally awesome to see the possibilities for expanding motorsport in NZ.

sez_trading, Aug 29, 6:40pm
I'm sure I could drive your navara that fast, let me try.

sez_trading, Aug 29, 6:41pm
