Unfortunatly have had to sell the harley for financial reasons.Have had a good run with them over the years. The wife would like the next ride to be a Goldwing and i quite like them too.Plus as we plan on doing a fair bit of touring it makes sense to have some comfort.Don't get me wrong. If i could afford another harley i would go for it.

Let us know when ya ride the Wing or ST, You may be blown away by the smoothness of it all.

.that could also be an off putting feature for some.

Yes, some do like to feel the bike under them for sure.

Yep.Thats one thing i like about the Harleys. You know you are riding a bike and the whole feel. The rumble.

I can vouch for the ST1300. I've done nearly 50,000 kms on mine now and havn't sat on anything else I like as much apart from the new BMW 1600. Like the wing but think it's too bulky. ST very smooth, comfy, efortless power and handles real well for size. Reliable too.

Going to call the local dealer in the morning and see if i can jack up a ride.

+1 for the ST, my pick of the long distance 2 up touring bikes.

was on aride with a few guys on harleys ,buells and stopped at the culverden pub and heard a guy on a gold wing go pastwith pat benatar blasting out his speakers man was it loud lol

therafter1, Aug 30, 10:43am
Of course it was loud, it has to be loud for two reasons, the first reason is that you have to have it loud to be able to hear the bloody thing at 100 or whatever kph, and the second reason is a thing called ???look at moi syndrome??
