trademe should allow short videos to be uploaded. it would make it a lot easier to view an item. these days whipping my 3.2 megapixel android phone out and taking a short video of the car being sold seems much more logical.just a thought.Tom

How many more thousands of dollars worth of hard drives would that require!

Trademe's year ended profit for 2012 was $75.6 million. Im sure they can very easily afford to integrate that feature.
not to mention i could easily take sufficient footage of the car in two mintures taking up 3 - 5 mb's. i believe some peoples collections of photos on auctions they run would exceed 5mb.

im not signed up nor do i wish to sign up (not everyone wants to). i believe a short video upload feature would benefit trademe significantly. especially for convenience of the seller and buyer. especially for nationwide purchases.

I know what you mean. And agree.
Surely it is in the pipeline though.

Yeah then the d/heads will put up vids of them doing burnouts etc.Might eliminate half the cars on my watchlist.

How would it benefit Trade Me significantly! The only benefit might be to sellers who have the technology and ability to make a short video. Now if TM was smart they would charge an extra $20 to allow a video add-on. THAT might significantly benefit them.

you are allowed to link to a youtube video, just ensure no one can contact you outside the normal parameters of the auction such as posting you email on youtube account.
