Amongst other damage the tailight is broken but only the Stop/Tail light i.e. the red bit, is all gone
Keen to do some huckery repair until I get a tail light, what are the rules would red cellophane do!

Why did she miss the mail box!

Yaa tape will be ok for a few days

blackcat17, Aug 24, 12:21am
Thanks.
She wasn't in it, she parked it on the drive, out of gear and with handbrake pulled on, but not hard enough I guess, and it rolled away.

Hopefully first and last time she does that.

who has the red car! much damage to that one! I did the same with my car but thankfully I had the steering wheel turned and it only rolled as far into the nearest tree branch leaving only the smallest of dents which was able to be popped out. Since that day I always make sure the handbrake is on tight, in gear (or park) and wheels turned into the curb.

if you need some parts i can sort you out.Just tell me what you need and i'll start an auction.

Red car was the neighbours MIL, the door was toast, and I believe the door pillar was bent as the car got written off. My cars RHS sill is quite crushed as it went over a tree stump, and its hard to shut the door now. I had just got a warrant and arranged 3rd party insurance 4 days before so that was bloody lucky.

Cheers, might do that in a bit, bought me red cellophane at lunch time.

russ18, Aug 24, 2:22am

No longer in WOF condition, don,t get caught.

trogedon, Aug 24, 3:25am
SHEET!

I did it to one of my cars. We heard a crash (gentle slope on drive, almost flat really) and the car was half way through the roller door.

top stuff with getting insurance just on time

Red car should not have been parked on the footpath

fryan1962, Aug 24, 9:21am
Damm lucky no kid was walking past

I was at a 4x4 day and everyone parked on hills in car park, some ppl were picnicking, I heard a crack and a Nissan patrol which had a transmission brake on started rolling down the hill smashing into another parked 4x4

Looks like a bloody steep driveway!

Nothing unusual for Wellington and its suburbs. When I was self employed, I had to engage 4WD Low to get up some driveways on rainy days. Some tradesmen in their rwd vans couldn't even get up to some of the places, they had to wait for a dry day.

Long shot blackcat, but that street doesn't start with a "g" and end in a "d" does it! Don't want to type the whole name, but it looks like the street I grew up in.

blackcat17, Aug 24, 10:23pm
You must have a good visual memory, you are correct

Wow. Thought so!
