Maybe that's why he crashed so often.

funniest thing I saw in one of his interviews was when Brock had gone into the pits with a recurring problem & Johnson started going on about 'thats what you get with a Holden.' suddenly you hear 'KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK' & the station switches immendiately to the broadcast booth.

i have to laugh. all the young guns thought that the GTR got banned because it shamed the rest of the field. As the video showed, the gtr just unlapped itself then and at the end of the race, when it got stopped in bad weather, (and the GTR crashed out while DJ was still cirulating), the GTR was only just in front of Dick Johnson. but a 4wd should have left the field for dead in rain with its advanced 4WD setup.

ATCC was a balancing act to even it up
Sierra on narrow tyres to slow it down, Skyline had heaps of weight added,
M3 was originally a tad less than 800kg but ended up 300+kg heavier

yeah, and if they were to let them race today, they would have to take the restictions off the V8s to make it interesting, as in, drop the 5 litre (302 cubic inches) limit, a windsor can be stroked out to 427 cubic inches, and remove the 7500 rpm limit, and drop the 10 to 1 compression ratio limit. then the V8 would be screaming around, and i dont think the turbo would keep up or last for the six hour endurance race.
