or should i redrill/slot holes in transmission housing to suit,if so who would u recommend to do the job,prefer west auckland or city area!

Get a factory turbo hydramatic patterned block. It is by far the best method.

If you are thinking about drilling your block the best way is to find someone with a jig.A few places in aussie do have one like Harrop Engineering but i reckon a on to it engineer could do it as well.

To me it does not sound like a good Idea, there could be all sorts of issues.
