thankyouIn the two photos the boot looks to be different. We would ride in an upright boot in one of Dads cars when we were kids, and have just come across this photo, so am wondering if this is the car.
On closer inspection I can see hinges and handles in my pic,so it must be the right car, just need to be certain of the make

These were called Dicky or rumble seats, usually on 2 door coupes

I don't ever recall a seat inside, just an upright deep boot, we stood on the bottom and were told to hang on tight and behave or we would have to get out and ride in the car.it was so much fun

i think it is a 1934 Nash,they had a boot that top opened,like dropping a bucket in a well,

thejazzpianoma, Sep 5, 5:34pm
I don't think so, 34 Nash has a more square early 30's style rear roof line and I don't remember any with a drop in the centre of the bumper like that.

I would like to know what year Ford Pilot this is supposed to be though. I don't remember those having a drop bumper like that and thought they had a fuel filler out the left side. But. perhaps I am remembering earlier or later versions than this!

I was thinking the top opening boot for Nash, the drop bumper and shape is a 1936 pilot ,[didn't know they went back that early].

its a 1936 ford V8 Deluxe four door sedan. If you could see the wheels it may be a 1935 but its definatly one of them. Also see listing # 511625525 cool.

this is more like it

Wrong, that one in the video is a two door model,a lot rarer in New Zealand, the one in your picky is a four door as you can see the rear suicide door hinges, its a deluxe because it has a trunk and two tail lights, if it had wire wheels it would be a 35 but my money would be on solid wheels ,a 1936,and yes it does have a top opening boot/trunk.
