See heaps of them driving slowly through the Coromandel, all look like tidy lateish model cars, if only they would get out of my bloody way, I'm working they are just loitering (erm on holiday) lol.
Apex have recently been bought out by Avis, but unsure if they'll be amalgamated of if it's still business as usual.

They are pretty good, we had some relatives come over to stay from OZ and they used Apex. They were very impressed.

You can choose the tier of car you want, budget models will be Japanese imports but a 'super' model will be NZ new in my experience.

With any rental car hire, walk around the vehicle with the agent making sure ALL dings, dents blemishes are marked on "the card" before leaving. Also I recommend Glass cover and full insurance.

Im a fleet manager for one of the larger rental companies in NZ. I would recommend doing a thorough check on the car, taking photo's of the vehicle you hire. Take glass and tyre insurance and extra cover (excess = ±$300) Full insurance is seldom necessary. I cannot tell you how many damages I process weekly and its not always the customers fault. Best of luck.

I found Jucy Rents to be very competitively priced and so easy to deal with. Had a flat tyre with the car due to damage to the tyre bead, they sent me to the nearest tyre shop to get sorted and sent me on my way with no charge.

reasonable price staff know nothing about cars,I picked car up at airport, the car was pulling to the left so badly, it was difficult to drive.the staff member had put car there for me to drive, I had gone 300 ft I then had to explain to the lady that the car was faulty. English was not her choice language
she gave me another and I did not have any more problems
