Ok so its a 3sge. So it needs a new headgasket! Or is the head warped so badly after overheating it you need a new one of those too!
Just get a replacement engine and swap over.

You still haven't said if it's turbo. But as others have said you would be better off fitting a second hand engine.

if you are going to buy a s/h head off trademe.!you had betterask if its been tested.otherwise its an expensive piece of alloy. i can do a 3sgte turbo head. crack tested, hardness tested and vacuum tested.for $350 + $20 fght. not a "bolt on" item. as you would still need to lap valves in , change valve stem seals and check tappet clearanceprior to fitting. have3sgenon turbo head. but i would have to get that tested. prior to selling . same $.

3sge and 3sgte heads for the gen 2 engines iirc are the same, the manifold and everything bolts over from one to the other. Cams are higher lift on the N/A engine, consider it an upgrade. I used to have 2 heads off running motors and I couldn't get $60 for the pair on here after several tries so I threw them out.
