Cna anyone explain why people pay nearly the same price for a dereg POS that they would for the same thing with reg and wof!Have had my eye out for a 95ish Chariot for parts for a mate and saw one the other day that was a repo at 400K without a straight panel and not going for whatever reason and it sold for 1800 bux.Plates dead for 18mths and last wof a yaer before that.
What am I missing! Is there maybe gold somewhere in old mitshit heaps!,

A lot of cars are worth more in parts than wof and rego'd on the road

Probably because along with the idiots who de-reg their vehicles (or let lapse), there are as many (indeed, mostly the same) idiots who think it's as easy as popping down to your post office.
Probably has a lot to do with the fact that general people don't understand the difference between vehicle registration and vehicle licencing.

True but in that case you would think the price of any particular vehicle whether road legal or parts would be similar as after all nothing to stop you wrecking a regod vehicle.
