Whatever you do, make sure *all* your paperwork is in order, don't skimp and hope for the best later on! Good luck, hope it works out well for you :)

Don't forget to add 15% for GST on the import, and costs to change anything (some headlights need to be replaced, etc) when you're running your pricing.

Talk to a shipping company, research all the hidden costs and then compare what's on offer in NZ. There are good deals to be had if you do the due diligence first and know exactly what you getting yourself into. Good luck.

Better watch out you don't get stuck with a left hand drive one, very hard to get approved here in NZ.

Nothing at all wrong I hope, just a conversation about buying I had with a Harley owner or two in a saloon in Virginia City [situation dropper]He had said about them getting ridden like they should be out in the deserts[ and they look so at home when you see them too] etc in the hot wind the rear cylinder cooks and this happens a lot. These guys all agreed with that comment, said it was something to watch out for when buying was all.

Now you're just being silly. You only have to swap the seat over .

I was looking at importing a harley, have imported cars from US so reasonably savy with freight company and got cost off them. I have also been bitten by costings for compliance and the other hidden add ons. In the end I opted to buy one here as the cost difference was not that great. There are some really good bargins in NZ at the moment, they are complied and delivery is immediate. Just do your homework well and enjoy riding.
