Hiya, dunno if 100% related but mine intially started fine then after a ten minutes driving started to miss fire then eventually die. spent hundreds chasing that fault only to discover it was a distributor rotor! which had a hairline crack. Another time ( maybe more like your case ) the Disco just wouldnt start. that time it was an ignition module. Both cheapish easy fixes but PITA to find. Hope this can help you. Cheers, Paul

Oh Oh and also check the connection of the fuel pump ( under back carpet ontop of fuel tank ) to the wiring loom. this can corrode too. You should be able to hear the faint whir of the fuel pump if pump is ok

Can hear fuel pump okif take fuse outstarts immediatley &it runs for20 secondsuntil i put fuse back in & restarts ok.Did a top end o/hshort while agonew ex valve& heads tested& gasketsnew plugstestedht leads etcruns well. Its definately fuel relatedhave adisc butno help . Did it atlights other dayrather embarrassing

Well I have removed theseal plug & screwed in theidlemixture screw(theroeticallyleans it out) on throttle bodyidlesbetter& deliberatlly stalled itseems oknow

thers a thing inside the dash called a spider,it can do all sorts of crazy stuff,sits behind stereo might be worth looking at
