nice engine and rare being a 2 door sedan but everything else is 'meh'. Fake wheels are soft and low-quality, dumpy muffler is tacky, doesn't even have the correct matching front guards for the quad round headlamp front etc.

Was I the only one who clicked on this expecting a Costin Amigo, American LaFrance or perhaps some Zagato bodied piece of artwork or some other tasty motoring rarity!
Its a sad day when a Corolla being the epitome of commonality warrants a thread marking it as different.
And yes I know it only has two doors and is LHD, I have a 2 door LHD car too!
Tell me you are pulling a "Friendly Prawn" pleeeaaaasssseeee! (waits for double entendre references)

On the one hand, sometimes it can be baffling what people throw their money, heart 7 soul into. Calling a 2-door DX Corolla a "coupe" is being charitable.
But then, now that I've seen quite a few of these boxy, 80s, twin cam RWD Toyotas that have been given the whole nine yards by fanboys. I've got to admit these things aren't really any LESS sexy than a lot of the little twin cam Fiats and Ford Escorts, that always receive universal cheers and leg-humping whenever they appear!

Should lose the monster tacho though.

i thought it looked nice until i saw the gauge and dumpy exhaust.

Yup. I actually prefer it to a 'proper' coupe.Lose the dumpy & the tacho, a bit of a tidy and it would be not bad at all. Also not a fan of the stretched tyre look, I like tyres that match the rims properly. Not sure what would happen if you needed to replace a door though ! I've always wanted a 2 door Mk3 cortina for the same 'different' sort of reason.

skippy33 - yup, that would do nicely.Do you think they would swap for an Estima though ;-)

Im not an expert but it looks to me as if its been made up from scrap parts rather than a genuine example.
