Any idea on how to find out the weight of the Yeti's sunroof option! Skoda NZ had no idea apart from weighing one car with the option. Do you think it would stuff the handling, fuel consumption and performance of 1.2TSI car!

I don't expect the sunroof option would make any noticeable difference to handling or economy in one of those.

The alternative being air conditioning creates drag as well, but realistically on those sorts of tsi powered vehicles, the difference is negligible (you can watch the instant consumption as you open/close windows turn the air con on etc). Only cheesy dealers feel the need to dress in drag to drive one. something about it working better with their mustaches, snakeskin boots and aviators.
BTW, I find in a modern car I open the sunroof to let the hot air out of the car when I hop in. Then I just turn the air con on when I am on my way. Seems to work best for me and drag/wind noise is not an issue.

Probably around 10-12kg, its not heavy enough to be worth worrying about, do you realy need a sunroof though, how much extra is it!

Sunroof is $2,000 or $2,500 I think. It's one of those extra big double sized ones. No I don't need it, but I would like it. It's a big bit of glass and is bound to weigh a lot. The cost is about 5% of the car which makes it sound expensive.
