Mobile, don't know. But you will get a K band alert approaching the beam. You have to react to it immediately; the mobile beam is pretty narrow. Even then, no guarantees, but so far I've found the warning period (just) adequate. But then, I don't go that fast, esp in the areas speed cameras are likely. (Schools, known motorway speed traps etc.)

Fixed has no radar. The sensors are buried in the road, usually in an octagonal patch which is visible from about 50-100M away. (Almost enough time to hit the anchors.)The GPS database should cover most of the fixed camera locations. You can mark your own locations, too, which I've found useful, as the database is sometimes a few metres out.

What I'd be inclined to do is find a mobile camera (wait 'till there's a blitz on speed near schools, or something. they tend to come out more when the dollar beckons) and drive past it a few times, to be sure the K band warning is being triggered (and how much in advance of the camera car) and then set the display to advanced, so you can tell the specific band. I don't know if it's likely to vary between individual units.

Frankly, I've found with it set to advanced, there's too much info to process, given the relative rarity of a warning. I'd rather use my brainpower on concentrating on the road.
