Slotted mag wheels - you know the type. The ones that came out originally with round wheel stud holes but now feature elongated holes so it will fit a different wheelstud pattern (PCD) Whats the go with these from a WOF and Cert' point of view! Are they ok, or what. Ta.

Seems to me like they'd have to ride on the hub; either perfect fit or hub centric rings.
There'll be an expert along in a minute i guess ;)

Yep yep, The reason I ask is because it seems that when buyers ask if the mags have been slotted (alot of times you cannot see the lug holes clearly in the pictures) . as soon as the seller replies 'yes' there is silence. I was just wondering if its a no-no from a WOF or cert point of view. I've seen it mainly with the old tridents, hustlers and hotwires etc.

it is a no no, but how closely does your inspector look at your nuts! a lot of the time the washers will hide it.

Yeah, personally I hate home-made slotted mags; not so bad from 4x108 to 4x110 but from 4x110 to 114.3 or 5x114.3 to 5x120 is usually a bit of a mess.
If I was selling slotted mags I would definitely mention it in the auction otherwise I deserve a red face for feedback.

yep, I found that when I was looking for some Tridents for the HQ I used to own.Quite a few slotted.Personally I wouldn't touch something modified by a backyarder - probably in a dodgy way.If I was selling some, I would make it very clear that they were slotted - IMO it takes away a lot of the value (or all as far as I am concerned).I also don't like the modern 'multi-fit' wheels with lots of holes in them to suit different PCD.Just makes them look a bit crappy - why wouldn't you just buy a set designed for your car!
