Currently considering a car at Turners that is coming up for auction, I understand that they gurantee clear title however when I got a Carjam report it showed the car as being registered to a company but UDC have security interest on it.Turners is a registered motor vehicle dealer which if I understand correctly requires them to provide clear title. This said how can I be certain if I buy the car that it couldn't say be repossessed later by UDC if the current owner didn't pay them!Sorry haven't had to buy a car for a while so not fully up on these things, thanks.

I'm sure that Turners will have that matter well under control.Give Turners a call and ask them about it - before you bid!

its probably a repo with no keys i would guess! be carfull with that as if you dont have the master key it can be real hard to get spear keys for some makes and models.

I test drove it yesterday but will ask to see the other key.Who knows it could be a repo, looks immaculate and has all the full dealer service history. Will ask Turners tomorrow about the security interest, thanks

Just go and clear it up with Turners. The "owner" may have an arrangement to pay off the loan from the procedes. Ie Turners pays UDC first then the owner the balance Or UDC might be being slack beggars and just haven't removed the security OR it might be a liqudation sale by company receivers. Whatever you do you need to be 1000% certain this issue has been cleared up before bidding/parting with any dosh

My best bet would be that the Carjam info is out of date.

Turners pay the loan off before the paythe owner. They gaurantee this in writing. No risk to you what so ever.Turners are brilliant people to deal with .Give them a call to clarify.Chris 2cheap2.Licensed car dealer.
