When reversing cameras, sensors etc are fitted to a car they are usually activated when car is put into reverse. Have seen some cars with sensors in the front. How are the activated! Can they be activated automatically or only manually using a switch. Can you get a switch that turns itself off say after 5 minutes! Thanks for any help

Am I thinking along the right track.once the car slows down below 15kn/h they come on.So every time you stop at lights they would switch on and possible start buzzing as you approach the car stopped in front of you. My car (Maxima) when the speed reaches 15km/h auto locks the doors so thinking along the lines that may be able to switch sensors on manually and when the doors lock somehow turn the switch off.

Ive got after market parking sensors on my bike, (front and rear)They work as parking sensors for 30 seconds after the bike is started and then they become laser jammers. If they detect a laser they transmit a signal back that is read that I am travelling zero speed for 10 seconds and then go back into parking sensor mode. Best investment I ever made.
