yup- just badges- No such thing as a Type R Prelude. Type-R versions of Honda cars have more red bits (i.e. cam covers, seats ;)

It's a standard SiR with black top 200HP H22A engine.The VTi-R is the NZ New version.
There are some better models, the Type S and the SiR S-Spec which both have a red top 220HP engine.
I'd have it looked at first, make sure the gearbox is smooth.

+1, yep the Type-S is the top model with 220hp engine. Very noticeable with red rocker cover. That's a middle of the range model.

Also for future reference Honda never made a typeR Auto either. Integra Civic NSX where the only ones to receive the typeR Treatment as far as i know.
