i only read the title no need to read more . that is realy realy old new that. in europe farmesr run the piggery on methan gas from the pooo since 1950 at least also secound worldwar cars have been operated on wood-gas its all just gas and any spark ignition engine can run on gas solong as the oxigen mix and gas is enough to go bang inside the engine. Lpg is most easy as its liquid . methane is hard to store hence the farmers got a huge plant and directly operate generators from the gas straight off.

I see this is a Toyota initiative. I guess its only one step to go from "drives like Sh" to "runs on Sh".
I wonder if this could be retrofitted to Toyota diesels, you could have some sort of perpetual motion car given they regularly Sh themselves!
