WOF Recommendation - Avondale / New Lynn

Due for WOF.Can anyone recommend a good reasonably priced mechanic in Avondale / New Lynn.Have always gone to VTNZ, but they charge the earth, you end of up waiting for hours & I'm sorry to say I'm sure half of them don't even know what they're talking about.I see no problems - tyres are (just needs a damned good tune up).

Thanks rob-man - will look into - do you know what they charge for WOF!It's a 1996 Landrover Discovery County (V8 petrol).Would just like to find mechanic who's honest and familar with Landy's and go to them for WOF's / repairs etc.

Thanks rob-man.Just phoned - Dave wasn't available, but lady who answered advised it was approx. $35 and he has a lot of experience with Landy's (that was my main concern).Another question if you can help please.I've been studying for nearly a year and was registering month to month or every three months (so costly). Gave it up and not driven for a months as too costing.Received letter from Transport Agency saying as of October it will be up for full registration (like $400 or so to get back on road). I did not formally de-register.I've seen a few posts in here re this, I just want clarification.I'm heading back to workforce, but not having vehicle on road legally is hindering me in what I apply for (hours etc. & public transport does just not link up if you understand).WINZ have said they can possibly assist. I've never asked for much in my life, so would be nice.I'm seeing them on Monday.I tend not to get any satisfaction / real answers when I speak with Land Transport.
