That was more like 89's stuff, in the 70's you saw 289 mustang motors stuffed into mk1 cortina's, 350 chevs in lc-lj toranas, we even had as a shop delivery car a little HB Vauxhall viva wagon with a 350 chev, turbo 350 trans and ford 8 inch diff. Our Wreckers tow truck was a J1 bedford with a 454 chev and turbo 400. Thems was the days, if you could fit it in it was legal

Opps meant more like 80's stuff. There was very few v8's stuffed into jappa's till early 80's, we had too much other stuff to pick from

In fairness it was early 70's & I was only 14 ********** Later in to the early 80's, I started a small business dropping Jag motor & box / Zepher/ Holden 6's combo's in to vans/ smaller cars etc
