Got a set of spotlights on my 4wd , when i turn lights on and put them on full beam they go but when i dip them they stay going and i have to flick lights off and back on to get them to turn off what would my problem be

p.slights are wired to dip switch through a relay

they should be relay driven, triggered by the main beams. You also need to have then switched individually. So the only scenario where the spotlights should be going is with the headlights on full beam and the seperate switch turned on. Pretty simple to set up

OKSo what is the ampratingof the relay& yesamperageor watts of the lamps ( total )!Is the wireinga bitsmall for the load& mostimportantis their an earth faultor hasan earth fault developedwater !corrosiondirty contact&faulty /sticking switch

If wired correctly and through a relay then relay is faulty.
When you replace the relay ensure that it is heavy enough for the load. i.e add wattage of both spots and divide by 12 = amperes. then DOUBLE that figure and that is the current rated relay you want to buy.
