AutoTalk spoke to the new operator, Tom Barrow, who will trade under the name AutoMart. The new business commenced October 1.
Barrow tells AutoTalk that the previous director and owner of Auto Co, Masashi Umeoka, will be withdrawing from retail and will focus on his wholesale business, J-Auto (NZ) Ltd.
J-Auto (NZ) Ltd will remain a supplier to AutoMart, but as one of a number of sources.
