there are plenty & not just Asian, we had an Iraqi who told everyone he was a qualified hydraulics tech & actually tutored at universities in Iraq. So when I was flat out & had a power-pack problem I put him on it. First thing he did was took the pressure relief valve off while it was running. Result, a factory covered in oil as it let 100 litres fire an arc across the ceiling then rain down over everything. Thousands of dollars of stock ruined & days to clean up.

Might be the same guy we had at freight company in manukau. Would idle the forklift everywhere even with load, would never touch the gas pedal. One day he lept off with it still in gear in reverse and walked away. It took off towards a brand new kenworth but one of the other storeman lept on and stopped it with inches to spare. The real problem is many employers won't even do a proper skills check.

I find it weird that we have zillions of unemployed (unemployable) already and we let more and more others arrive every day who on the face of it are even more useless than what we already have.

Yes, yes there is. If you are 40 and want in but stole a packet of lollies when you were 15 (and been a stand up person ever since) and got caught they send you back home before you can get in. Or something like that. Yet if your a machete wielding yob your in with a grin.
