nothing is working. tried putting the key in and it doesn'ty turn. pushing the actual boot button but it wont go in. i drive a '04 holden adventra. quite frustrating.

Maybe the body in there has got caught on something - try knocking loudly with a wooden stake and ask it to let go.

Yes this is a common fault with this type of car if you put a big leaver bar in between boot lid and guard and pry it open that way, then all you need is a bungy cord to hold it down when finished problem fixed

Looking at photos of the rear, it might be possible to remove number plate and drill an access hole that you can insert a hook to grab at the latch from the inside.Drilling it behind the plate means no visible damage.That is the technique used on XJ Jags that have an electric latch.Works well on those at least

Not getting a lot of useful tips, are you! I assume it's a saloon. (Or is it a station wagon)! If the former, do the rear sets fold down at all or do you have a 'ski stow' fold-down panel in the middle of the seats so you can at least see through to the boot and maybe get a stick or pole through to the latch mechanism. You probably need to visit your local Holden dealer and find a similar model so you can examine the latch mechanism and see where it might be faulty. And then work out how you might be able to force it from inside. Otherwise go to your friendly local panelbeater - they've probably got as much experience in opening jammed doors as anyone. (Apart from thieves and the Fire Service.).

First does it have leaver electic button inside u push! Or on remote! If u cant pushbutton in i suspect it locked ,get cancrc spray in lockput key in slide in and out jigly up down then try turning to unlock

it's quite wierd i think thatthe button in glove box only does the rear window along with the button on key. can't find a boot relese button anywhere. maybe they didn't come with one.
