Does this annoy anybody else?

It has always annoyed me how a car is described as having "a careful lady owner". Now in my experience with women drivers (stereotyping here) they predominately get in the car turn it on slam it into drive and roar off down the road. So whenever I see "a careful lady owner" I automatically think that the car has been 'thrashed' on a cold engine. Does this term annoy anyone else!

Better than 'one spotty youth with his arse hanging out of his strides owner' I guess.

HAHA true

aragorn2003, Oct 2, 5:28pm
its got to be one step up from careful asian lady owner

monaro17, Oct 2, 5:29pm
Lol. no comment ;)

Don't forget the vast quantities of rubbish and dirt in women's cars. It never ceases to amaze me how the majority of women seem to keep their cars like absolute garbage tips, regardless of whether they are houseproud or not. I spent a while doing auto-electrical work and the same held true, so it isn't just me hanging about with scruffy lasses :)

Ladies, please tell me that not all of your cars are mobile dumps!

It doesn't amaze me at all, cars are merely a larger handbag for most of them.

My wife now cleans our main family car out more than I do.

merrilegs, Oct 2, 7:05pm
Mines not, although at the moment it is overdue for a wash. Maybe tomorrow if it's a fine day. Gets the inside treatment on a regular basis, vacuumed, upholstery cleaned, windows polished, vinyl cleaned etc etc etc.

is this the new Tui billboard!

johnf_456, Oct 2, 7:19pm
A bit long for a tui billboard.

sgrants, Oct 2, 7:27pm
I have thrashed all my cars from start up and never had any problem with your so called premature engine where and this is from old school minis , 70's 80's jappas ect . that warm up procedure is a load of arse!

What annoys me, is second hand cars being described as 'mint condition'. Then when you see all the faults they have not described, they say that it's mint condition for it's age!

mrfxit, Oct 3, 6:58am
Mmmmm much in the way thata mans car interior is often an extension of the boot space for his tools

mrfxit, Oct 3, 6:59am
SHITE !

Did i just admit that . ;-(

shakespeare6, Oct 3, 7:23am
"a careful lady owner"all the rest were men

johnf_456, Oct 3, 7:42am
Interesting spelling lol.

sarahb5, Oct 3, 7:47am
Mine is but since I'm not the one who eats pies, or chocolate, or drinks coke in my car the rubbish isn't mine .And it definitely wasn't me who left a pair of wet socks in a plastic bag with a banana until you couldn't tell which was which, or which smelt worse!

sarahb5, Oct 3, 7:49am
True!

We've been looking at cars to buy on here in the last few weeks and the one thing that guarantees it won't make it on to the watchlist is stickers - snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, etc. are a dead giveaway to the identity of the driver and how the car's been treated, and driven.

shelleigh, Oct 3, 7:54am
None of my cars have ever looked even remotely like a mobile dump.
The only excuse for having a vehicle look like one is laziness!

timmo1, Oct 3, 8:30am
I think that advert got it spot on (can't remember what company it was advertising.insurance I think) where the beta guy gets into his girlfriends car: Barely able to squeeze between the seat and the steering wheel since, crap loads of rubbish, stereo on full bore and parked 2 cm from the edge of the house haha.

pico42, Oct 3, 8:35am
I don't find it the careful lady driver that's the problem, it's her 4 sons who all learnt to drive in the car and thrashed it until they got their own.

trader_84, Oct 3, 9:58am
This . but it does not stop there . then they proceed to turn your property into a wreckers yard and a 'do drop in' for all their mates who always seem to be . hungry.

budgel, Oct 4, 6:38am
You too have sons!

barrylarry, Oct 4, 7:43am
when i see "lady owner" I usually assume the engine block is almost cracked due to many times she didnt check or replace the coolant
