Are there buyers out there who would pay these prices for these vehicles ! If so I stand corrected, but in my view something like this is worth next to nothing, considering the $$$$ involved in the restoration. Not just this example, but many others.

It may be somebody's dream project, and they may happily pay that, they may have beeen looking for years for a real steel one. Who knows!
Good on the seller for trying, no harm in trying a high asking price first up, and you don't HAVE to bid you know.

Poster, you are probably much younger than the target market for such a vehicle. I could imagine a retired mechanic who was a car nut in his day buying this and perhaps his dad had a similar car many years ago that they worked on together, that brings back happy memories. Yes, a lot of assumptions! I recently sold a second hand car for $80,000, so price is relative. Think of how rare this car is! There's someone out there, that will probably think of it as a bargain and will spend many a weekend tinkering and doing it up.

Coupe seems realistic price for a 3 window, maybe not so much for a 5 window.

Yep you're probably absolutely right .I guess I just see a pile of junk worth scrap metal, and someone sees the beginning of a really rewarding resto project. It's all relative.
