Polyurethane/Nolathane Bushes .

Are they all much of the sameness! Or are they like oil and filters. as in there is a vast variance in terms of quality/fit for task etc. The reason I ask is because I am about ready to purchace bushes, balljoints, brake pads, rotors etc for a XJ6 frontend. I have taken in the points brought up in a previous post about brake pad quality and will stick with a mainstream brand - even if it costs a tad more. But what about these red bushes! There is quite a spread of prices being asked for the (looks to me to be) the same item, which leads me to ask if these should be looked at with the same view you look at cheap oil and cheaper filters! What about ball joints also . whats the story there! Ta.

Nolathane is a brand. So yes they are much of a much. Just remember to get a professional to advice you on the correct durometer (hardness) for ya XJ and you should be happy as a pig in.

Rubber,polyurathane,nolathane
Nolathane is a brand also type ofbush very hard / ridged faster wearing most expensive
Poly in the middle supose be upgrate from rubber and should last longer than nolthane and easyier on pocket but unless its made for somethin specialie trackcar rubber has lasted this long and cheapist

Nah mate . not a track car. Just a jag front being transplanted into an old truck . and needs to be outfitted with new bushes etc for cert.

All the more reason to chat with a suspension pro. Personally I'd go Nolathene but would not be sure on the Hardness for your set up.

If you have normal suspension travel i would recommend normal rubber bushes over any other options. The nolathene etc does not have enough flexability for street use and usually wears out at a much faster rate.

Summitracing turned out to be the cheapest. I just ordered some. Under half the (av) price being asked for them here even with shipping. Read a post on here not too long ago about keeping everything under $400. I made sure that would be the case with this order also. This is the first time I have done this sorta thing . I hope everything goes well for meeeee!
