had a wee look on the net and found that there is 5hp difference from factory jdm vs usdm. , rod stroke/bore size and everything seems the same EXCEPT redline limit and compression would this be the reason for the difference of 5hp from factory!

Compression yes, reline no. It doesn't make peak power at redline. Probably an ecu difference for the different fuels and emmisions to.

Im assuming the JDM has the higher peak power!
Usually USDM cars are tuned for slightly inferior fuel (although don't get confused by their '89' octane fuel.that's doesn't mean 89 RON like here).
