Thinking of upgrading to VN diff, I'd like to stay with my current 3.9 gears, what make/model has these gears to swap with the factory 3.08!

I dont think any of the VNs will have those ratios,, unless maybe the 4 cyl ones, but dont forget those diffs are used in a lot of other cars like falcoons etc.

R31 Skylines ran a 3.9 ratio BW78 diff. Late model HSV's (VT series 2) ran a similar diff ratio.

We have a VN, but if I take the diff out, and the missus has to walk, well. lets not go there! I have a '76 HJ sedan with std banjo. Salisburys aren't cheap, and can't get the right ratio. VN is very close to the right width. no cut 'n' shut. I've tried the 3.08 in the past and it was ratshit for what I have.
