I am looking at getting a faster / bigger bike with the new LAMS bikes. Cash is short so is it worth getting the cheaper Hyosungs (GT250 etc) or spend the extra to get Honda's and Kawasaki's!

I had a 2007 gt250, great bike to learn on as its a full size frame, not a 3/4 like most 250s. Going fast is something they dont really do that well tho. 100kph-140kph no worries but after that they run out of puff. .

Got a mate with a Hyosung 650. Amazes me how fast it is, although he is good at ringing its neck.

I think they are just as good as the newer kawasaki 250s, never had a problem with mine.

Jump on kiwibiker and have a look through about the Hyos, they have their common issues like anything else. Cheap for a reason though
