S/Tourers practising at Puke today

newtec1, Oct 17, 8:22pm
The S/C record is 55.5 ,The S/tourers went around in 59. They would normally be quicker except they have had to raise the ride height by 40mm because of bottoming on most tracks. They virtually have to start from scratch with their setup on suspension and will take some time to get close tothe S/Cars.

A bit of useles information, they usually are on a par with the GT3 porche's on all tracks.

The track was about 2 seconds slower two weeks ago for most drivers. That could be a combination of low track temperature and the bumps through Jennian (seem to be much worse than the last time I raced there).

Wind speed and direction also has a bearing on lap times.

Maybe so,but straight from the horse mouth, they say it is because of the new setup on the cars,40mm higher which means an almost new setup on the suspension.
