My god. I know people like projects but that is taking the whole concept a bit far. I suspect that will be advertised for a very, very long time.

Scrap steel $50 for 1/2 a ton!

whqqsh, Oct 17, 3:42am
problem is these guys hear stories (like my mate whose staying here now) about guys that bring a body or cab in from the states, the after panel, prep & paint now owes them 10-15K. then they think their piece of bush find is worth that too, with realising the extra costs once it gets home. the saddest part is some goombah with too big a cheque book will end up paying it just to have a 'steel car' to keep up with his club-mates.
BTW this wouldnt even happen if ppl didnt keep chopping up perfectly good bodies to satisfy the latest short lived trend to come along

sifty, Oct 17, 6:09am
I am suprprised to see these things still turn up I admit.

Can't see a 1990's Honda surfacing in 2062 the same.

sr2, Oct 17, 6:32am
Have to say that's a hell of a good buy!

hatchback, Oct 17, 6:34am
Well said, nice to have a 'steel body' but there is still along way to go in the dollar dept with finishing it, 12-20k just for the panel steel cuts deep into the budget

hatchback, Oct 17, 6:36am
I recken, drop it, wheels, 454, deep charcol.priceless

magicmat, Oct 17, 6:48am
Doesnt appeal at all to me personally but hey at least you can actually drive this thing.

trader_84, Oct 17, 8:05am
He'll get that sorta money. 39' - 40' Ford Coupes command a premium - end of story. If anyone knows of a cheaper 39/40 Coupe of the Ford variety, in similar nic - speak up. The other thing also . this message board is frequented by peeps who ultimately want to save money and are generally talking/asking re their daily driver . whereas those coupe bodies in the first post . will never ever be someones everyday drive hack. They are destined to be toys and as such - will be subjected to a total different set of rules, buying and spending criteria. Ask your missus - she'll confirm it.
