I've recently been dealing with a mum whose had a stroke, so have been using her toyota vitz, as she can't drive. And its looking like she won't be driving for at least a year. However, she doesnt want to sell the car, as its still under finance(which is all sorted).
I have a 94 lucino, and 96 avenir wagon. Both which have about 160,000 on the clock each. Both are autos, and all one colour ;)
I was thinking to flick them both, but I dont know how much I'd get for them to be worth getting into a wagon such as a newer wingroad/caldina or even getting into a mazda premacy/mpv.
both are wof'd and rego'd. Belts need doing on the lucino, and one cv boot on the wagon. I just cant be bothered dealing with Tm ads, and tyre kickers for sub 3k cars.
Thoughts!

you also want to know you need a seller to sign new owner a paperas is where is and no new wof. as if you dont do this you have to sell it with a new wof 28 days old maximum, its the new law aperantly and you want to sign off the consumer guarantees act with the other part also.

assuming would be using the vitz while she cannot drive, does it meet your mission requirements! A vitz is a small car, a shopping trolley really. Your other cars are larger and more capable but will cost a little more to run. Your mechanical requirements for your nissans are nothing to worry about, very small expense.
If I was in your position I would probably sell the lucino and keep the avenir as your practical car. Use the vitz to do the milk run and when the time comes that you have to give the vitz back then just re-evaluate the circumstances and what you require.

intrade-does consumerr guarantees act apply if im a private seller!
Vitz is all good for my day to day-cheap to run, just not overly exciting. Its only doing about 30k a day.
I thought the same Morrisman, but Im just not a fan of the avenir. Its thirsty, and just not that inspiring. The lucino has been great.
Does anyone know if dealers would trade the two!

For once I agree with intrade. Always sell as is otherwise it seems every buyer thinks they can take you to court for something going wrong and they also seem to win. Always get them to sign its as is and they accept the condition its in

i am not sure but better to opt out of any comebacks the kaz*** dealer told here about the 28 day wof for private sellers also i did not know about that untill i read it had changed.

No consumer guarantees act for private sales of vehicles. You can't mislead people about the condition of the vehicles for sale however.

No point having a car you don't like. Just sell it and get something you like. Lucinos although are essentially a pulsar mechanically, are no-where near as appealing.
The u14 bluebird and p11 primera are both really good vehicles. A sr20de manual one will go good and they are aren't that thirsty either. If you wanted a manual you could get a hyper CVT m6 primera wagon with the SR20VE engine. They have a CVT transmission which if serviced correctly is fine. If you get one which has unknown CVT history then start putting bits aside for a manual conversion! The SR20VE engine goes real good.

Cheers guys,
I think the quick and easy is to flick the lucino, as its just going to sit idle for a a bit-bank the cash, then mull over the wagon prospects.
