http://newenergyandfuel.com/http:/newenergyandfuel/com/2011/02/02/nh3-for-fuel-eyes-look-to-texas-tech-and-new-zealand/ Ammonia is a cheap way to make hydrogen, easy to store. According to this article can be made for 27 cents a litre, $us. this is an interview with John Fleming on the radio from a few months back.

Fascinating - now watch as this, like many other oil alternatives, eventually disappears in to the "what the hell happened to." files.
Amazing its on Fox news!!!

That was posted in 2008 and I have since heard nothing else more about it. It's quite easy to produce hydrogen but hard to do it very efficiently, efficiency is the key

Either way, it's the way of the future.
I remember having a lucid dream years ago in which I was told the future of energy is all around us.
Of course the oil barons hate it and do all they can to keep it under cover (along with governments help) until they have exhausted all of Earth's oil. (wait for another 600 years!)

Thats why these carbon tax/ETS schemes are such a bogus pile of crap. There are already so many significantly cleaner alternatives to the way we conduct industry and fuel that industry, that we could reduce our emissions by half within no time.
The government makes a handsome profit off taxing fuel as it is and if they can also create another tax on top of it, there will never be any genuine motivation to move to clean alternatives.
Again, it all comes down to greed/money.
