RX7 It has a 12A mated to a turbo 400 and a 9" I wonder if adowngrade to a chev 400 sb will do the trick. Lower hp must equal less breakages surely!

Yeah chevys are pretty low on power so be a good swap out or if ya really want a lower HP engine. Anything with a holden badge on it should save the diff.

A stock 12A is 100hp. if you can find a stock V8, let alone a 400small block that is under 100hp, you probably have been had.

What ya wanna do is, unbolt the turbo, turn it round and bolt it back on. Then It'll take power away making the rest last longer. If thats not enough, you could swap petrol for diesel. it'll be cheaper to run too.

Plenty of US V8s rated at only just over 100hp in the 80s but they had heaps of torque which rotiseries have none of
