Toyo Teo Plus, Falken ZE912, Hankook K415. These are good tyres and give good wet and dry handling, comfort and last for quite a while as well.

Toyski -I'd like to suggest that rather than looking at just best wear you look at $ per km to run. By that I mean some budget tyres may not last as long as the toyo's for example buut when you compare price to milage they work out cheaper. Probably old news to you but alsorunning correct pressures and wheel alighnment will also help a lot

Try Wynstar if they are still available. Got these back in 2006 when courier driving, tyre shop reckon they would easy do 80,000K's, just about to replace them now and have done over 110,000K's. Try Tyre General as that i where I got them from.

Sorry intrade, I am the wife and was the courier driver. We do all our own servicing of our vehicles and what i said about the tyres is correct. They are on a 2000 manual corolla which I drive all the time. No, I am not a nannie drive and the courier work was hard on tyres. No offense taken to your comment and no offense meant by mine but just letting you know that some of us are not the morons you think.

i get 75k out of a set of Bridgestone Hiway Duellers & they driven spiritly & handle well wet or dry. a larger diameter tyre will last longer than those 14's of yours.

I got 87,000km out of my Firestone Firehawks that were factory fitted to my (new back then) 1997 Honda Civic.(175-65-14) There was still warrantable tread left (probably at least 2mm left) so I might have even got 100,000 km out of them. In 2003 and at 87,000 km they were replaced with new Firestone Firehawks then sold the car shortly after to buy the Accord I have today. These are very exspensive to buy now days so I am currently using (195-60-15) Supercats on my 1997 Honda Accord and seem to be no worse than Firehawks.I have done about 25,000 km on them and they are only slightly worn (by memory at least 6 mm at last wof)

We have a shuttle van at work and we get about 20 to 25,000 km out of the tyres which get replaced about every 3 months and driving around the terminals. The Van turned 3 years old in July of this year and has a current milage of 284,000 km.Thats a few sets of tyres in 3 years around 11 or 12 sets.

Another data point - I got barely 20,000kms out of a set of TZ100s on fairly heavy 4wd car

Im running GT radial Wingros currently and have done about 30,000km on a set so far and have got down to about 4-5mm tread. Im quite hard on tyres as I dont slow down for corners. I do the odd skid but nothing to get smoke off the tyres. The tyres are pretty good grip wise, did us well in the gymkhana!

What sort of Vauxhall have you got,I have a 1965 HA Viva and a 1960 F Series Victor. I think those Cavalinos had a bad reputation for grip and balancing issues and at 27 years old they must surely be overdue for the museum.Tyres only have a life of about 10-15 years and beyond that they can be dangerous for blowouts etc. I must admit I have seen old crossply retreads on some of our car club cars that must be at least 40 years old.In fact on a car club run, a member had one blow, luckily on a straight bit of road.
