Pretty much as you said, engine needs to be lifted slightly, does depend on the brand of headers though, some are worse than others.

Coby or Pacemaker are probably the easiest and/or best to fit.

Coby's take around 2 hours to fit, done 4 sets now on auto and manual,rack or engine mounts not needed to be touched.
