Oh dear. he must be gutted!

ptda, Oct 30, 6:13pm
I will be glad to see the back of it,.Just like I am glad to see the back of you jarrod.I hope the winner comes to pick up the car and doesn't muck me around like the last 2 that won it at auction. maybe now you can all go find something else to fill your little minds with instead of a 1976 sprinter.

savanna71, Oct 30, 6:20pm

i think we would all like to see the back of it. Shame I get the feeling the sale will mysteriously 'fall through' again.

ptda, Oct 31, 6:58am
well you might all be right, so far, Not a good sign, No Contact from the winner after 2 emails sent by me and he won it at a bargain price. He would be a fool not to take it away at the low ball price it sold for. I did have a soft spot for the car, but not anymore, Now it is just my headache created by all you lot that can't let it go. Friends don't stab other friends in the back like savanna likes doing. I Can't call anyone like him a friend, I have better friends than that.Heres a good warning, With savanna as a friend, you certainly don't need any enemies because he is a terrible one both ends of the scale.

mr-serious, Oct 31, 8:46am
Well I think 5k is quite good . Shit i even like the car.

jason18, Oct 31, 8:50am
are you serious!

timmo1, Oct 31, 9:03am
are you Jason!

bellky, Oct 31, 9:07am
Are you all idiots!

mr-serious, Oct 31, 9:25am
Very serious

esprit, Oct 31, 9:35am
Sounds like a fair price, can't see the car going for much more than it went for.

I'm guessing the sale will fall through again for mysterious reasons and this will go on and on and on. This car will still be on Trademe in 2020 with the seller getting more and more detached from reality after every "sale"

djrandomguy, Oct 31, 10:28am
it might be rare, but the engine'sa dog and compared to the more common ke35 it's butt ugly. imo

scoobeey, Oct 31, 10:44am
Give the guya a blardy break! hes sold the car and i wish him all the best :)

kdcentralni, Oct 31, 11:00am
Or has he!

tgray, Oct 31, 11:18am
If memory serves me right, previous auctions of this car got to $16,000!
Even if the bid wasn't genuine, there was other bidders just below this figure.
$5000 seems low, but that is the risk of no reserve auctions.
Two years ago, I put through a very nice 1999 legacy wagon 160k's with a no reserve price through turners. It sold for $1600 (I was expecting $3000)
Never again!

savanna71, Oct 31, 11:34am
Of course it will be relisted, your statement below all but confirms it, this was 5 minutes after it closed,

Damn straight not interested in getting lied too, scammed and ripped off to the tune of $8000, call it what you like

jason18, Oct 31, 12:30pm
Haha love it!

jason18, Oct 31, 12:31pm
Yes but then it depends who is asking

extrayda, Oct 31, 1:58pm
Seemed like a bargain to me - rip off the hockey stick mirrors and the front spots and I reckon it would look fine.Certainly very tidy order.
If it was me I'd pull the motor and trans (put it in the corner of the garage somewhere) then re-power it to make it more interesting (no hacking the body though).Keeps the option to put it back to original at a later date.
If you work out what it would cost to get an average Corolla and do it up, this one is cheap by comparison.
