I just want to tow my boat. have you seen a fwd car getting a boat up a ramp!

johnf_456, Oct 31, 8:21am
Depending on the boat ramp fwd are better as the front wheels are on the dry surface vs the wet slippery surface.

tazcsv, Oct 31, 8:42am
4wd would be even better.

jason18, Oct 31, 8:50am
Ford or holden

timmo1, Oct 31, 9:00am
Unless others are using the ramp and then the whole thing is wet

bellky, Oct 31, 9:09am

bellky, Oct 31, 9:09am

mm12345, Oct 31, 9:47am

saxman99, Oct 31, 9:49am
I like BMWs. Get a 540i Wagon. Falcons are for ponces.

phillip.weston, Oct 31, 11:42am
Surely that would be massively countered by the fact that the rear wheels will be weighted down quite a bit due to the weight on the drawbar which also tends to lift up the front end. I've towed many things with FWD cars and while they do the job OK, getting traction off the line isn't one thing they excel in.

mazzyz, Oct 31, 11:47am
Post above ^^^^+1

desmodave, Oct 31, 12:00pm
Fit a tow bar to the front and ya should be getting good traction
